ABSTRACT
The structure of the building of a modern hospital is determined by complicated regimes of medical procedures. The layout of the rooms, their gradual availability, forced by sterility and sophisticated technology, the closed nature of most hospital spaces – all this is for the average patient an incomprehensibly complex and overwhelming form. Wherever possible, the structure of the hospital should compensate for the feeling of being lost, strengthen the so-called sense of consistency in life experiences. Architecture can support healing. Using the stimulus and response matrix, we can correctly shape the functional structure of the hospital.
