ABSTRACT
Tuczno – a small Polish town in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship lost during the Second World War its market square together with all urban blocks around. The town began to develop on the side of its suburbs, leaving unreconstructed areas of its former centre. The purpose of the study is analysis of the urban past and present of the town. There were made attempts to find an answer to the question why historical market square of Tuczno was not rebuilt, and were proposed solutions and recommendations for the future.
