ABSTRACT
Designing for health encompasses an increasingly broad public debate on the quality of the built environment in the context of space utilization, building architecture, and therapy in the broadest sense. In addition, new technologies create new opportunities to support patients and staff in hospitals, but also to continue therapy, rehabilitation, and diagnosis in the home environment.
These new opportunities are confronted with current challenges, such as the staffing crisis, the organizational and legal crisis, the security crisis, the infrastructure crisis, and finally, the demographic crisis.
The conference “New Challenges in Healthcare” is a cyclical event organized by leading Poznań universities that conduct research and education in the field of health: Poznań University of Technology, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, and Poznań University of Economics.
The Scientific Committee included: prof. Ph.D. n. med. Ewa Wender-Ożegowska prof. Ph.D. engineer arch. Ewa Kuryłowicz, Ph.D. engineer arch. Ewa Pruszewicz-Sipińska, prof. PP prof.
