ABSTRACT
The flexibility and multifunctionality of architectural interiors is of great importance in the era of dynamic economic and social situation. Increasing mobility, migrations within regions, countries and continents drive the demand for variable solutions – which are easy to adapt to user requirements. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to introduce social distancing create new challenges for living spaces. Their function began to go far beyond the private dimension of the home sphere. The text presents author’s original systematics of space susceptibility to changes in interior design, which was supported by student projects made at the Faculty of Architecture of the Poznań and Milan Universitiesof Technology.
