The article describes the problems of eldery disabled people and the architectural challenges in the urban space, because demographers warn that in 2020 the population of older people, including those with disabilities, will increase significantly. Disability can be temporary or permanent; congenital or acquired. The architect’s task is to ergonomically shape the surrounding space on various scales – from architectural to urban. Government and self-government administration institutions provide assistance to people with disabilities and the elderly.
