ABSTRACT
The paper deals with the architecture of facilities performing the function of palliative care. This research is an introduction to the issue of theory of designing stationary hospices, with special consideration of psychological aspects. Within this paper a case study of longterm care facility in Świnoujście will be presented. Abovementioned facility was designed with the use of theoretical background discussed in first chapters. Presented theses rely on theory of architecture, proxemics, thanatology, and personal experiences of author in the field
of designing described structures.
