The paper deals with possibilities of the neighbours’ care and its social impact for senior residents in architectural schemes realized on a way of collaborative housing. Demographic data reveals that the percentage of Poles in retirement age shall grow up as well as their percentage in total amount of housing units. Recent housing stock does not provide an ease of access, both in physical and financial way. In the quest for housing solution, collaborative housing seems to be an interesting alternative as it may not only provide habitance space, but also bring social benefits along.
