The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of the implementation of healthcare facilities, i.e. the Wielkopolska Pediatric Center and the children's hospital (Kinderspital) in Zurich. The aim of the analysis is to determine the differences in the approach to design and, on this basis, to obtain new knowledge (research by design). The selected centers are characterized by advanced technology, the same profile of activity, and both were implemented in the last two years. It is important that the Author took an active part in the design of hospital facilities, among others in Switzerland, which complements scientific research through design (research by design). As a result of the comparative analysis, it was found that despite the undoubted progress that characterizes hospitals in Poland, Poznań compared to years ago, this technological advancement is almost in line with European standards, while we still have a long way to go in terms of design.
