The analysis of objects of various functions and scale realized worldwide, created by combining shipping containers, showed the possibilities of their use, also as places for exhi-bitions or cultural events. The unusual theatrical play of natural and artificial light and coexisting shadow, evoking emotions related to the feeling of architecture, is a feature of the best architectural opuses. The selection of awarded realizations of theatrical scenogra-phy and intriguing architectural interiors from all around the globe, in which light plays a significant role, guided the study concepts to the appropriate selection of: interior materi-als of various translucency, degree of reflection and absorption of light, as well as light sources and lighting fixtures. The result of the research is a set of projects entitled “container light theater” developed by students of Interior Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the PP.
