The article concerns the suitability of urban green areas for exhibiting artworks. During the scientific research Artwork in Architecture carried out at the Department of Drawing, Painting, Sculpture and Visual Arts, and then at the Institute of Interior Architecture and Industrial Design of the Poznań University of Technology, the relationship between art-works and modern, historic and post-industrial types of architecture was investigated. This time the research team focused on the problems of exhibiting artworks in urban green are-as with two parks as examples: Park Cytadela in Poznań and Ptasi Park in Mosina near Poznań. The research was carried out on the following types of works: outdoor sculpture, sculpture installation and experimental display of paintings in the space of a city park. At the end of the article, the author presents the conclusions of the research.
