ABSTRACT
The research presented here serves to redefine the role of the museum and the mutual relationship with public space in the context of local heritage promotion. The research methodology is used to designate a system of cultural spaces within which it is possible to situate elements of small architecture and pop-up architecture, understood as urban planning interventions for the promotion of local material culture outside the museum facility. The designation of the system is expected to increase the impact of individual interventions. The research aims to create a methodological approach to solving the problem of low attractiveness of the cultural offer and quality of public space through the introduction of artifacts of art, as well as an attempt to apply the method developed for Polish cities in the cultural conditions of the Middle East. The result of the research provides a basis for indicating the sequence of urban interventions involving the introduction of pop-ups or small architectural elements within the framework of the proposed action strategy.
