They provide a distinct urban character and play a key role in defining the identity of cities. Investments in these areas are inherently complex and carry significant risks. They demand thorough preparation, in-depth analysis, and interdisciplinary research involving experts from various fields. The introduction of excessively avant-garde solutions can undermine existing values and damage the city's image, sometimes with long-lasting consequences. In such cases, it is advisable to adhere to the principle of continuity – skillfully integrating the past with the present while thoughtfully anticipating the future impacts of today’s decisions.
