This work presents the city as a complex, dynamic system that, like the human body, functions based on rhythmic, interconnected processes and common mechanisms of their functioning (the city and the living organism), where the relationships between the planes of activity and the needs shape their current and future forms. The attempt to analyze the urban structure through the prism of biological analogy focuses on such aspects as the rhythm of functioning, regeneration, communication, adaptation and integration of functions. The use of a comparative approach and the analysis of the rhythms of functioning of the organism and the city allows for a better understanding of the mechanisms governing urbanized space. The city as a closed composition (in relation to a work of art) becomes a reflection of social needs, values and relationships, and its development - a response to changing external and internal conditions. Composed of physical and "sympathetic" elements, perceived sensually and emotionally by the user, it is a system of interdependent elements, capable of transformation and adaptation. The article is a contribution to the discussion on the future of cities as living organisms, responding to the changing needs and challenges of modernity, and the applied observational, comparative and emotional methods point to the issues of deep relationships between humans and urban space. Further research in this area can provide a solid basis for developing in-depth models of planning and designing urban spaces.
