ABSTRACT
Architecture and art harmoniously create a real form of space and an imaginary environment for theatrical performances, connecting the viewer and the actor in the dualistic attitude of the recipient and the user. Accessible and friendly space is a sine qua noncondition for the ergonomic, effective functioning of the entire team of institutions and guests, fully meeting the aesthetic needs of the entire team. The topic of scientific research concerns the issue of searching for guidelines aimed at proposing optimal design solutions for modernized theater spaces located in the city center, in the Soldier's Home in Poznań. The aim of the research was to determine the needs and requirements that should apply in theater institutions, in the context of establishing appropriate principles for designing functional and aesthetically coherent interiors. The research activity was based on individual observations, assessment of specific cases, and surveys conducted in the close environment of theater employees, using the method of form analysis related to the assessment of individual compositional elements and considered in terms of the synergy of artifacts in the field of theater art, visual arts, and design, as well as the application of the method heuristic.
