ABSTRACT
The architectural space and the space of the musical work are constructions with a clear and distinctive structure, therefore, the inspiration of music in the design work is more or less conscious translation of musical forms into the language of space organization. In music-inspired projects, specific elements of the spatial structure can be clearly identified as a direct transposition of the musical structures present in the piece. The essence is the continuity of sound and space, the relations of adjacent elements, thanks to which we begin to understand the compositional assumption. In the same way, the entire architectural composition is read, when, passing through the space, new views are opened to the observer, allowing you to construct in your imagination an image of the whole architectonic form. This work deals with the contemporary understanding of architecture and music (XX-XXI centuries) and the relationships between lexical analogies, such as: rhythm, harmony, color, articulation, and others, constituting common compositional components. The research undertaken concerns direct musical inspiration in the work of architects, the collaboration of designers and composers and the search for innovative methods of translating music into space. The thematic scope, into which the issues undertaken in the material fit, includes multifaceted interpretative activities of the found reality, contributing at the same time to the development of imagination and creative and design creativity. The research is based on the obtained sets of drawing works treated as representations of architectural images and musical recordings,
