ABSTRACT
Stereotomy, which was once associated mainly with cutting in stone, is now understood more broadly as a set of methods and techniques for reducing architectural form. It shows the potential to exceed the boundaries of conventional design thinking. Its interpretation in the contemporary context includes experimenting with subtracting, removing and limiting unnecessary elements, leaving a pure form. Stereotomy as a corrective tool opens space for creating new structures, experimenting with materials and discovering new directions in the architecture of the future. She began to supervise the design process, ensuring the rationality of architecture. It uses only the necessary elements for the function or form of the architecture. These limitations become the starting point for creative experimentation and searching for innovative solutions, which encourages architects to think beyond conventional boundaries. This allows you to squeeze only the necessary essence from the project. Architects may become limited, but they present the absolute minimum, which turns out to be sufficient. Unnecessary consumerism and luxury are neutralized. Design gains a new expression. Becoming a trend of selecting key elements from a rich set of possibilities, so that in the end only the most important and necessary ones remain. It is a constant emergence, analysis and exploration of various ideas, until only the most crucial and necessary ones remain to achieve the intended goal.
