ABSTRACT
Participatory research using the user experience method allows for the creation of very precise design solutions in particularly functionally specific architectural interiors, including offices. This article presents the results of a study conducted in 2023, which aimed to assess the preferences and spatial needs of gamedev workers in their workplace environment, including aspects of personalisation and working style. The gamedev (game development) sector, which produces and distributes video games for various platforms, was identified as the research area. The research was carried out using a proprietary survey form among an international group of respondents. The research resulted in a conceptual design for the interior architecture of an office space for the Silver skyscraper in Poznań, which demonstrates the applied nature of the research. New technologies influence the intensive development of new industries, which in turn catalyse the development of new spatial needs that require identification and description. Taking all the findings of the research into account, as well as previous literature studies, a clear relationship should be noted between the creativity of the employee and the space that surrounds them.
