The article is based on a pursuit of the relationship between the record of space and architecture, which is an inspiration for the creation of an artistic form and for experiencing constructing of space in drawing in the context of using the potential of means of artistic expression in order to implement the adopted concept. The scope of research of the article against the background of the title issues the discussed concepts, creates a platform for a comparative analysis of a wide spectrum of possibilities for creating an artistic form in the context of searching for the conception of space record, where architecture is an inspiration for original drawing solutions carried out as a part of drawing exercises for the second-year students of the Faculty of Architecture of the Poznan University of Technology. The broad potential for space reinterpretation, based on the use of architectural elements and the analysis of artistic concepts adopted by students in the context of searching for a form in drawing, is the research material used to learn about the relationships that create artistic form in the process of creating space inspired by architecture. The study of the processes of artistic creation in the aspect of original search and selection of an architectural motive, technical and compositional solutions constitutes a point of reference for a comparative analysis within the framework of the topic implemented by students. The purpose of the adopted research assumption, using various concepts of a drawing record on the subject: “Space inspired by architecture”, is to demonstrate the importance of problems solved by students: searching for the best record for expressing content and emotions related to the considered topic, subjecting a thorough analysis of the functioning of an architectural motive in a drawing composition issue, searching for the relationship between artistic form and architecture as a source of inspiration
